TG opens branch office in Des Moines, Iowa.
Thiele Geotech, Inc. (TG) has opened a new branch office in Des Moines, IA through the acquisition of the assets of Geotech Engineering & Observation (GEO). Thiele Geotech, Inc. will operate in the previous GEO location of 3405 SE Crossroads Drive, Suite C in Grimes, IA. With this expansion, Thiele Geotech brings valuable resources to the Des Moines market including: 7 drill rigs, accredited laboratory facilities, sophisticated field testing equipment, electronic reporting systems, and most importantly an experienced staff of approximately 50 engineers, geologists, certified technicians, and support staff. Continuity will be achieved by retaining former key GEO associates in the Des Moines office. Marc Casteel, P.E. will continue as the manager of the Des Moines office and serve as a Vice President of Thiele Geotech, Inc. Bob Lapke, P.E. will manage the geotechnical operations of the office.
